‘Bringing several stories out of their shadows.’
Every documentary we make we try to tell a notable story for viewers to admire and remember. We have so much passion for the stories we get to share, and the beautiful people who have the courage to be in front of the camera. A year ago we captured a story on Alzheimer's, that we had the privilege to create overseas in, The Netherlands. Moreover, we are currently working on making a documentary called, 'Importance Of Cystic Fibrosis' portraying those living with Cystic Fibrosis, set to come out later this year.
"In documentary we deal with the actual, and in one sense with the real. But the really real, if I may use that phrase, is something deeper than that. The only reality which counts in the end is the interpretation which is profound"
~ John Grierson
The Destruction Of The Mind | Short Documentary
After spending three weeks with my grandma and filming some days with her I created this 15-20 minute documentary about her symptoms and how she lives with them. She's still very bright in her thinking however she does forget and repeat many things and gets confused often. It's devasting to see her in this state, especially for my mother and the rest of the family. Besides her sickness, my mother and I had a fantastic time with her and will always have this short documentary to remember her by, and of course the footage that wasn't used. I do apologise for those English speaking friends who won't be able to understand what my grandma says as most of this documentary is in Dutch. Adding subtitles would have disregarded the feeling/emotion of the visuals. Anyway, enjoy the documentary and comment on what you thought or support the video by giving this video a like. S.P.
